Terms of Service
Last updated: September 17, 2026 · Applies to the curator app (iOS) and app.curator.so · Provider: Goldgräbe Cyber & Cipher, Zürich (see Imprint)
1. Provider & scope
curator is provided by Goldgräbe Cyber & Cipher, Hohlstrasse 465, 8048 Zürich, Switzerland, hi@curator.so. These terms govern the use of the curator apps (iOS, web) and all associated services.
2. The service
curator curates your own photos and videos with the help of artificial intelligence into post suggestions (carousels, stories), including image selection, cropping and caption drafts. Suggestions are machine-generated drafts: we owe the provision of the service, not a particular aesthetic outcome. Publishing is done exclusively by you; curator never posts anything on its own.
3. The free month and the welcome gift
Two things are free at the start. Neither creates a subscription, causes any cost, or needs to be cancelled.
(a) The free month of live curation. Every new account gets live curation (continuous curation of new media) free for 30 days, covering media captured from two weeks before signup onward. The free month is granted once per device: a new account created on a device that already received it continues the earlier month rather than starting a new one. When the month ends, live curation pauses until a subscription is started; your account, your picks and your credits are unaffected.
(b) The welcome gift. New accounts receive 5 free credits, once per device. You can spend them on curating chapters of your photo history and on publishing individual posts, for as long as your account exists.
Subscriptions have no separate free introductory period: a subscription bills from the day it starts. Your contracting partner for the purchase is Apple, and cancellation happens exclusively in your Apple ID settings; we cannot end a subscription concluded through Apple on your behalf.
4. Subscriptions, credits & prices
The prices and features shown in the app at the time of purchase apply. Subscriptions (Solo, Plus, Pro) run monthly, renew automatically and include a monthly credit allowance that is granted afresh with each paid billing period and does not carry over into the next month. Credits are tied to your account, usable for as long as the account exists, non-transferable and not redeemable for money. Chapters are priced at one credit per 150 media items, charged in proportion to the chapter's size and rounded up to the nearest hundredth of a credit — a chapter of 20 items costs 0.14 credits. Credits spent on a chapter are held against delivery: if curation never runs, they return to your balance automatically. All prices include statutory VAT.
Purchases in the iPhone app (Apple): purchase, renewal, cancellation and refunds run through your Apple account. In the EU, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Norway this contract is concluded with Apple; withdrawal and refunds there follow Apple's terms (reportaproblem.apple.com). You can cancel at any time in the subscription settings of your Apple account, effective at the end of the current period.
No direct sales by us: we do not sell subscriptions or credits ourselves — the contracting partner for every purchase is Apple. On app.curator.so you can use your account and everything already curated, but not buy anything. We nevertheless accept declarations such as withdrawal or cancellation at any time, without login (withdraw from a contract, cancel contracts here), and confirm receipt — but a subscription concluded through Apple can only be ended by Apple.
5. Right of withdrawal
Consumers in the EU have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for contracts concluded at a distance. Because every purchase is concluded with Apple, please address withdrawal of a purchase to Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). You may also send a withdrawal declaration to us at any time via app.curator.so/widerruf; we confirm receipt immediately and forward it where we can, but only Apple can refund a purchase made through Apple. Withdrawal of the free account itself is always possible by deleting the account in Settings.
6. Fair use
Technical limits protect the service (e.g. a maximum number of refinements per post, protection against repeatedly adding and removing the same photo ranges). Abuse — such as automated mass requests or circumventing limits — can lead to throttling or suspension.
7. Your content
Your photos and videos remain yours. You grant us the simple, revocable right to process them exclusively to provide the service (analysis, cropping, curation) — including through the AI processors named in the Privacy Policy. You warrant that you hold the necessary rights to the content you upload.
8. Availability & changes
We develop curator continuously; the feature set of individual tiers can change. Material adverse changes to running subscriptions and price changes are announced at least 30 days in advance — they take effect no earlier than the next billing period, and you can cancel before then. No specific availability is guaranteed; planned maintenance is announced where possible.
9. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body and health. In cases of simple negligence we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual duties, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. We accept no responsibility for the factual accuracy of AI-generated suggestions (e.g. captions) — review suggestions before publishing.
10. Term & account deletion
You can delete your account at any time in Settings; a running subscription must additionally be cancelled through your Apple account. With deletion, remaining credits lapse without compensation.
11. Final provisions
Swiss law applies; mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. The EU Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr); we are not obliged to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
